I found an old mason jar at an antique store this week. I was inspired by a message in a bottle, so I decided to write motivation sayings about faith and put it in the jar. I then found some clear stones to put at the bottom. I added a ribbon and a button at the bottom to add some more color. I wanted to put a light such as an electronic tea light candle but I couldn’t seem to find one. If you decided to make this, you could add your own personal touches. There are so many things you can do with old jars, who knew!
Hair Accessory Holder
I have been crafting like crazy, and I was running out of things to decopauge until I found this tin lid from a cookie container. I found some fun scrapbook paper to glue onto the lid, and I used some small magnets to hold the magnets onto the lid. Now I have a another way to organize my flower clips!
From Serving Tray to Cute Memo Board
I was at our local flea market today, and I found the coolest serving trays for $1! I have seen really great ideas of memo boards, so the serving tray sounded like a great idea for a memo board.
- I took a piece of beach-themed scrapbook paper and decoupaged it onto the tray.
- I also found some cool shells at Michael’s, and I decided to make them into magnets.
My dorm room has a lot of beach items in it, so this memo board will fit in great in my dorm room. This memo board was easy to make, and you can put anything on it–to do lists, pictures, sticky notes, and the list goes on.
Small Headband Holder
After making a smaller hair bow holder, I decided to make a small headband holder. I used a Cottonelle Toilet Paper Cover. I covered it with pictures and quotes taken out of my Seventeen magazine. I added some ribbon, a flower, and some flat marbles, and now I have a cute headband holder to take back to my dorm!
Small Hair Bow Holder
After making my first hair bow organizer, I realized I wanted to take a smaller version to back to college with me. There isn’t very much space in a college dorm, so I created a small bow holder. I had some wooden letters laying around so I used one. I also used mod podge, scrapbook paper, and small magnets. I glued the paper to the letter and to the magnets. I then hot glued the magnets to the letter. It doesn’t hold as many hair bows as the larger one, it has just enough space for your favorite hair bows and clips. I can’t wait to bring this to my dorm room!
Hair Bow Organizer
After working on organizing my headbands, I decided I needed a way to organize my hair clips. I got an idea from Sweet N’ Sassy Girls on how to make a hair bow organizer. I covered a dry erase board with scrapbook paper and ribbon. I put the board on a cute easel I found at Michael’s. Then I used some strong magnets that I bought at Michael’s, and my bows were finally organized!
Headband Holder
I have a lot of headbands, and I was looking for a way to organize them. I found many examples on pinterest of headband organizers, so I decided to make one too. I used an oatmeal container, scrapbook paper, and ribbon. Now my headbands are neatly organized, and I couldn’t be happier!
