Tonight, I sat down to relax and enjoy some TV. I turned to the Food Network, and I saw there was a documentary. This documentary was called, Hunger Hits Home. I was going to switch the channel until I realized how important it was to watch. Millions of kids across the U.S. struggle to find enough food to fill their bellies. It broke my heart to hear about a young man who sometimes goes for 3 days without eating. I always thought hunger was a problem in developing countries but our country, too, faces hunger. Accessorize and Help at the Same Time
I have stylish older brothers that have paying jobs and buy really cool stuff. I get jealous at times. This week we all went shopping, and while I was looking in one of my favorite stores they bought watches. When I came out of the store, I was bummed and I asked why they didn’t include me in their watch purchase; well, of course, I am not a part of the boys-only club and I am a sister not a brother. Oh, well I guess.
There is more to this story. Today I came across a really cool company, I Won’t Watch. They have partnered with Compassion International, so every time a person buys a watch (a really cool watch by the way)a portion goes to Compassion International to help the children and families they serve.
