Gearing Up for School

My personalized folders

Every year around this time, I start to go a little crazy—crazy for back-t0-school shopping that is.  I have a slight obsession with school supplies.  Every since I was little, I would plan out my back-to-school shopping, carefully buy all my supplies, and spend the rest of the time organizing everything.  Even as a college junior (oh my goodness, I can’t believe I am a junior already),  I am still giddy about picking up school supplies.

I bought some plastic folders a few weeks ago, and while peeling off the stickers, something annoying happened—sticker residue!  Don’t you just hate that.  I tried for a while to remove the residue, until I got a better idea.  I decided to write Bible verses on sticky notes and use packaging tape to affix them to the folders. It covered the sticky spots and I have encouragement on my folders.  Hooray, problem solved!

What fun ideas do you have to personalize your back-to-school supplies?

  1. That’s to far ahead to think! lol I usually don’t start buying my stuff until a week after school starts!

  2. Congrats on junior year!

My DD (who will be a HS junior this year) was planning on buying new binders. I’m hoping that I was able to convince her that the (plain) brand new binders we already have are a good idea — they just need to be decorated.

Great idea on the folders. :-)

Thanks Shari! Hopefully, you can convince your daughter than decorating is more fun than buying different binders. School supplies can be so spending, so its nice to save some money and personalize your stuff! :) Wishing your daughter a happy school year!! Thanks for reading and commenting!
