Dear Mom

Like many of you, God has blessed with me with an amazing mom.  God has used her to speak truth and love into my life.

To all you moms out there–you may never know how much you mean to your children.  To all the children out there—never let one moment pass without you telling your mom (and dad) how much you love them.

My mom is my best friend and biggest cheerleader.  I wrote this for her.

Dear Mom,

Thanks for showing me what true love looks like.

Thanks for believing in me, when nobody else believed in me, including myself.

Thanks for being my biggest cheerleader.  When everything seemed scary and hopeless, your cheers brought me through those dark times.

Thanks for all the times you bandaged boo-boos, tended to my colds, and made everything seem better.

Thanks for reminding me to keep the faith and trust God.

Thanks for telling me there are more fish in the sea.  I needed to hear that.

Thanks for all the times you held me close as I shared my fears, struggles, and pain.

Thanks for laughing and crying with me.

Thanks for reminding me to never give up.

Thanks for being the best mom and friend a person could ask for.  You can never know how much of a different you’ve made in my life.
