The past few weeks I have learned some important lessons:
- Don’t eat questionable chinese food
- Study harder for statistics’ tests
- (Most important lesson)–Turn your worries over to God, and not just one or two worries, all of your worries.
God is using my struggle with eczema (itchy, red skin condition) to teach me. Lately I have been having a really bad flare-up, which is probably due to dry, wintery air and stress caused by demanding classes. The more stressed I get, the worse my eczema itches. I almost feel like I need to warn my friends and people around me by saying “No, I don’t have fleas or a contagious disease, I just have eczema.” I like to joke about it, but when it comes down to it, my eczema drives me crazy!
But you know what, my eczema keeps me humble. I am reminded that I am not in control, God’s in control. God has my back and He will make sure everything works out for me good. I just need to give everything over to God!!
- “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7.

Thanks for this message! Whether it be itchy skin or anything else, I always need/try to remind myself that God has it under control for me and trust in Him!
Exactly! I need a constant reminder of this!
I wish I had your optimism Sarah. This disease is so frustrating and depressing but your words give me comfort that at least I’m not alone. Thank you!
Eczema is definitely very frustrating to deal with; I struggling the most during intense flare-ups. You are definitely not alone—eczema suffers have to stick together! Sending happy thoughts and well wishes your way!
You’re right! I haven’t met anyone else in real life who suffers from it. People just see legions of bad skin with no idea how depressing and damaging to your self esteem it is. Thanks Sarah. You’re a star
It is hard for people to understand if they don’t have eczema. I think we need to educate others so they are more aware of what eczema is like. Hope you feel better soon!
Feeling much better today thank you!
Your optimism is infectious lol.
Hope you’re having a great week Sarah!
I am glad to hear you are feeling better!! I am having a good week, thanks!
